We would like all your clean plastic milk bottle tops to collect money for the League of Friends to be used for patient care.

They are bought from us and re-cycled by GHS recycling of Portsmouth.

For more information contact Richard Whineray by email rwhineray@nhs.net

Thank you

We consume 100 million pints of milk a week of which at least two thirds are sold in plastic bottles.  The bottles are recycled by most local authorities but what happens to the tops?

We can recycle red, blue, green and white plastic milk bottle tops ONLY with the following logo on them

Please remove all stickers from the top and any tabs or inserts on the inside of the lid as these materials can contaminate the load.

Milk bottles are collected from all over the south of England.

In Portsmouth the company granulate them and send the plastic to a company who melts the plastic down and makes them into…………….

...or more milk bottle tops!

And some people use them to make into strange things….!
